Welcome Home Willie

We are so excited that Elder Willie Pratt is HOME...He came home on September 22nd from serving in the Jackson, Mississippi Mission Spanish Speaking. He had a great time on his mission and learned to love the people of Mississippi.

My dad was going to have to miss him coming home. He had a work assignment in Tennessee and his boss told him he really need him to be there. So my dad was just going to have to see him the next day when he flew in. Well if anyone knows my dad his kids and family are the most important thing to him. He made arrangements to meet willie in Atlanta where Willie had to catch a connecting flight. Willie had no idea, as far as he knew he would have to see my dad the next day. Well my dad was patiently waiting for Willie to connect in Atlanta, when he saw him & Elder Havik my dad went up behind him and tapped his shoulder and said, "Elder" Willie turned around and immediately started speaking Spanish...lol then he realized it was dad. They were able to sit by each other on the plane for the next 4 hours and catch up. We sure missed him & we are glad he is home safe.

This is the sign Brian, I & Kali created for him. Brian's idea was to do the Mississippi flag, I thought it turned out pretty good.

This is Willie just getting home for the first time. He said he had to put the glasses on, he traded them with another missionary for the sleepless night pillow (or so they called it) they are real versatchi glasses that he was pretty proud of....( For an 80 dollar pillow, I guess it was worth it) lol

Tending Cooper

ast month I got the pleasure of tending Cooper a few mornings...We had such a great time with him. Kali & Cooper are learning to play well with one another...I even ventured out and put them both in the tub. I wish I would have gotten a picture. (But I didn't dare leave to get my camera). When I was styling Cooper's hair... I put some hairspray and he was like "what in the world"...Sorry Tiff, I am sure you don't use hairspray...I am just used to having a GIRL... But I know I need one of each for sure.

Grandpa Pratt's 85th Birthday Party

My Grandma Pratt turned 85 on the 21st of September. She is a remarkable lady. All of us grandkids look up to her very much. She is kind, assertive, loving, determined & has lived a very good life. She has been a widow for 26 years. Which is something I can't even imagine. She is such an example to all of her legacy. She is always on the go & doesn't miss out on much. We have been so blessed to have her around us in our life. My uncle & aunt Pryor put on a little party for her. The food was delightful as for my uncle dean is a great cook. We love Grandma Pratt so much. Here a few pictures from the party.

Ok so I have started doing some coupon shopping. I have been getting a few good deals here and there but I am still in the process of learning how it all really works..Well today I got the best deal yet...I went to Rid Aid and there was a coupon a few weeks back for Buy one get one free Cover Girl makeup. Well Rid Aid is having a sell Buy one get one free....So that spells FREE...all you do is pay the sells tax....Here is my receipts & product to prove it. My only regret is that I only had 2 papers that week... So $27.16 dollars worth of product...I paid.....93 CENTS...Plus I bought Kali a candy bar for .50 totaling....$1.43

Tending Cooper

The other day I got to watch my little Nephew Cooper. He was so fun to have at our house. Kali played Play-dough while Cooper watched and laughed. They are to cute together. Grandma Carter is now watching them both one day a week together so they have really started becoming best friends. So dang cute how they follow each other around & just how excited they get to see each other.

Cookies

Kali is so into helping me with WHATEVER I am doing!! She wants to pour, stir, bake, roll, frost you name. Yes is sure does make baking cookies take way more time that it should but I sure enjoy her helping me. She is getting pretty good at frosting especially after making homemade oreos for our BYU party...


With a little tasting in between of course.

Nightime

Yes still has the binky at night...and at naps....I know I really need to get rid of it. But I just can't do it yet!!

One of my most favorite times of the day is bedtime. When kids are in there pajamas they just look so cute. When they are asleep they look so innocent. No matter what has happened that day or how busy we have been putting Kali in her pajamas is something I really look forward to. I love to rock her in the chair while either singing her a song or telling her any story I can think of. I love when I walk out of the room and she says, "Mom love you" if I forget to say it first. These are the very special moments I wish I could put in a bottle. I love listening to her & Brian talk to each other or sing songs. Brian loves putting her to bed & I am so thankful he will take the time to rock her or lay by her at night...Because I know these are the moments he will never forget.

Wayne County Fair

This summer we had so much fun camping & going to the Wayne County Fair, Rodeo & demolition derby...We camped near Johnson Lake which is close to Fish Lake. We had such a great time and are hoping to make it a tradition. I wish I would have taken more pictures. We slept in a little 4 man tent & ours was the smallest of all the tents (but lets be honest our camping is at the Marriott) Kali kept saying, "my tent is the smallest" it was so cute. My sister-in laws (Tiffany) family is from Liman and it is the cutest little town. Also Brian's mom's parents are from Loa the next town over so we were able to stop & see Great-Aunt Margori. Kali took the best bubble bath she had ever taken. It was so nice to sit out under the stars each night and just relax.

IN-N-OUT

Well as most of you know IN-N-OUT is coming to Provo...My husband couldn't be more excited. I guess there will be no more reason to go to St. George or Vegas now, right?

Petting Zoo

Earlier this summer Kali, I & Cory decided to head to Thanksgiving Point to the Petting Zoo. What a great deal. $2.00 on Tuesday I thought there would be so many people there...but to my surprise there was hardly anyone. It was such a fun time & Kali loved riding the Pony's. She wanted to ride on the little one.

Long Over Due

I haven't blogged in so long..I am getting back on it...So I have tried to put everything we have been up to in the last month & a half..So I hope you enjoy getting caught up...I sure did :)

My Girl

Kali has been growing up so fast lately...She is now talking in practically complete sentences and cracks us up with the things she say's and picks up on. So we are spelling many things these days. I haven't done a post on her being potty trained...She has done so well. She has been potty trained for about 3 months now. She got potty trained about a week after her 2nd birthday and has done great. She now has been waking up dry for about the last 3 weeks...I am so proud of her. She gets so excited when she does nice things...She is very loving...Always saying, Mommy I love you sooo (with the drawn out so) much!! It truly does melt my heart and I love being a mom more than anything. She is my little side kick & I wouldn't change it... I love you kali!!

She is really enjoying Nursery & is a very big helper to the teachers...She loves singing time & is really picking up most of the songs..We sing all day around the house...and her favorite song is "We Are A Happy Family" at times she will just look at Brian or I and say...Mom (Dad), We Are A Happy Family....with a big smile...

Her sharing is coming along...Now that we have a little Nephew to share with it has been nice teaching her to share. She doesn't always want to but we are hoping this comes to...Thank goodness Cooper is a good sport and doesn't care to much yet...She say's Cooper is her Best Friend!!

She is a born mother...and loves all of her baby's...she plays with them, watches out for them, feeds them, disciplines them, she leaves them and say's she is going to work, or she leaves them at Primary & say's, "don't worry mom will be back for you"...lol It is all of the things we do with her and it is quite amusing to watch. Crazy what kids pick up on.

Spanish Fork Rodeo

The Pratt family has made a tradition of going to the Spanish Fork Rodeo...We love it....it is so nice to get out and do something a little different sometimes. Brian, Seth & Kali wore there cowboy hats and we had a really good time. It was so windy that I didn't get many pictures...but we still had a good time. I got my arm slammed in the port a potty door and it is still tender 3 weeks later...There is something with port a potty's latley!!

Kenny Chesney

Kenny Chesney concert was awesome!! It was at the Rio Tinto Stadium and it was a blast... It was so dang hot that day I thought we were all going to melt.. and the Stadium ran out of ice... (Who runs out of ice when they know it will be 95 + degrees that day)...But it was still really fun and we had a great time.
