1 Year Doctor Appoitment

Well it is official Kali is one year old. What a fun year it has been. As I sat back and starting thinking of all of the "things" I have done or thought in a year I compiled this little list:

*Bathed her at least 365 times...(I know I am one of those parents who has bathed Kali every single day since she was born and occasionally twice one those days she just looked dirty)...

* Changed at least 1,825 diaper and approximately 380 poopy ones...(not counting the ones Brian has changed)

* Kissed her at least 18,250 times and that is rounding down!!

* Missed her on at least 5 occasions where we have left her with my parents or Brian's parents, just to spend time with one another....( I love spending quality time with Brian, he is my best friend)

* I cant even count how many times I have said I Love You Kali!!

* Thought multiple times how thankful I am that she has come to our family and to our extended family and how many lives she has blessed.

* Thought to myself, "This is what life is really about"

And of course many more things...But what a fun year we have had....and so much I have learned...I am by far not the perfect mom but I sure enjoy TRYING....

Kali is 22 1/2 pds and 31 inches tall.... (I still can't figure out where she is getting her height from??)

Kali's Birthday Party

Great Grandma Pratt, Great Grandma Lindsay, Karen Carter, Great Grandpa Carter, Great Grandma Carter...

Kali is really lucky to have to many grandparent that live so close and that are still alive. She has Grandma and Grandpa Delange that are still alive that were unable to make it....She is a new generation!

Nate, Brian, Jeff, Kali, Grandpa Lindsay

This is Grandpa Pratt and she enjoyed sitting in his lap and ripping open the gifts, one at a time...Never getting bored I may add.

Kali had an absolute blast opening presents...She loved sitting in her new chair and clapping her hands...I must say she is a good entertainer....

Brian has this really good idea to get Kali a baby stroller she could push around. She say some other kids pushing them and watched them for like 20 minutes...I thought she may be to young...but boy was I wrong...She loves this stroller and puts her baby in it and stroll's all around the house....Good thing she has a good DAD!!

First Birthday Invitation

To all my blogging friends here is Kali's first birthday announcement....Thanks so my wonderful sister in law and really great friend, Tiffany took Kali's pictures and then put these announcements together for me. I loved them all so much I had to post them all. I never sent out birth announcements so I thought I would send she's turning ONE!! I can't believe a whole year has past. What a wonderful year it has been!!

Self Feeding

Well today was the first time that Kali has really wanted to feed herself. She kept wanting the spoon and crazy enough she knew exactly now to do it. I don't think I really like her doing this because of course it creates a mess...but on the flip side I don't want to be feeding her until she is 10 either. She feed herself the entire yogurt and loved every minute of it. It was really cute and fun.

Kali's First Hair Cut

Kali had her first hair cut last week. My friend Emily was kind enough to cut her hair. She was really good and seemed to really like the cap and especially the brush. Emily cut about an inch off the top and about 1/2 inch off of the back. I think it looks a lot better!! She was getting a mol-et in the back.... Her hair seems to be getting lighter & lighter...I may have a toe head on my hands....

Softball Tune Up Tournament

Brian played in a softball Tournament this weekend at Footprinters park...It was lots of fun. A little cold but all in all fun. There team did great. They won the whole tournament and went undefeated...We love it when there is no "IF" game. Brian's mom was kind enough to take Kali for most of the day so that I could go and watch, since the weather hasnt been the greatest...Where is SPRING...I love watching Brian play softballl and since that is how we meet working down at the park it brings back lots of fun memories we have together...I am so thankful for Brian and for all the fun times we have together....

Shoes

Kali has defiantly confirmed that she is my daughter...she loves SHOES!!! Not walking in them but looking at them and playing with them...This is a whole new toy box for her...Oh how we love SHOES...
