Love of a Mother

This is something my mom told me over & over again growing up..."Until you have your own child you will never understand the "Love of a Motherr" And I will have to say she is right....When and only when you can stay up all night thinking about you daughter, holding her close to you trying not to move so that she won't wake! praying in your heart that everything will be alright. These are the thoughts that have been with me the last couple of nights. Kali had a runny nose...I thought no big deal, all kids get runny noses...she is probably cutting another tooth. Then came the cough and then the weezing and then the tears...For a baby that doesn't cry much that was the determining factor that something was wrong...My first thought was ammonia only because my brother-in-law has had it. So I thought to myself I will watch her for a few hours and if things don't improve, (on the side of caution) I will take her in. Nothing improved late into the afternoon so with new insurance I started making some calls (being that is was saturday) I finally found out where I could take her.... an instacare that is located in River-woods. So I packed Kali up and headed to the doctor. To be re-assured that is wasn't ammonia and that she was running a temp of 100.6 with much congestion and a massive ear ache....Ok I can rest assured...off to fill the prescription! The reason I thought I would tell this story is I don't know how many of you remember Brother Eyring's talk in October conference but he talked on how Christ is in you life everyday and how we should write it down and remember him in all that we do. So I have been trying to do this on a daily basis...not always writing it down but reflecting on the day. I am amazed each and everyday how many time Christ and his loves comes into my head. For all of you who are mothers you understand the Love of a mother. And I am so blessed to have a wonderful Mother who has stood my me and taught me so many things. And I also have the best mother-in-law who I love dearly and appreciate so much.

Ready for the Baseball Park!!

Well it looks like Kali has discovered Ketchup & Mustard...Two great things that belong at the ball park. Those of you who know us well our family spends lots of time at the baseball park both watching and playing ball. Kali can already throw, (if that surprises you) and will race dad for her binky....) She has her own ball and glove and will play catch as long as you will sit there....I thought I would include a few pictues from the first 3 weeks of her life. My brother Jeff and Brian's brother were both in the state tournament at BYU (Thank goodness it was close) So each day we would pack the little girl up and off to the ball park!! Our family has so many great memories of being involved in sports so this just topped it off....

First Tooth/ 9 Month Visit

Kali has finally gotten her first tooth. It is on the bottom left....It is so cute :) ...So I guess she won't be our little gummer for long.
She had her 9 month Dr. Appointment this last week and she is 20lbs and 31 1/2 inches long. So she is in the 100 % for height, 90 % in weight...She is growing really well and is full of life!!

Black or White

Dresses are the best thing about having a girl....and since they grow so fast at the beginning it seems every-time you turn around you get to purchase a cute dress. My mom is really great at finding cute dresses for Kali for great deals. I especially love this one. Sunday's are so fun...but I do think she is ready for nursery already...she loves playing with kids and watching them...Since they never stop moving....Well I just got called to the Secretary in the Primary...WOW!! This is quite the calling with 90 kids in Primary including 3 nursery's...I am exited and a bit overwhelmed at the moment so if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Yum Yum

Kali is my little veggie eater...anything from carrots to sweet potato's she loves. She is winging herself from the bottle...She would only have a bottle in the morning and at night if I would let her. I guess I can't complain about that I here sometimes that is quite the process. She loves her sippy cup and her new thing is drinking out of a straw...so now I can't trick her with my soda....Dang that was nice while it lasted....She is growing up to fast...

72 Hours!!

I know, I know I really need to do a post, it has been a while. But I just want to say in my defense my computer has been down for 72 hours and it is amazing how un apart of the world you feel. My bills were piling up (since I pay everything on bill pay) and my blog reading was defiantly falling behind :) Don't worry I have caught up on this part......I promise to post something exiting next week...
