Mom & Kali

This has been such a fun Christmas. This is a picture of mom and Kali in front of our Christmas tree.

Elder Carter

Well Elder Carter went into the MTC on December 17th. He was exited to go and prepared. He was called to serve in the Roseville, California mission. Chris is the kind of kid that is the life of the party. We will really miss him but also know he is doing what is right. When we ask Kali where Chris is she is immediately says. "MISSION" it is so cute. I know Kali will be so grown up when he gets home.

Classic!!

Well today I was at the mall when Kali and I saw Santa. With no one waiting in line so I thought while I was there it would be the perfect opportunity for Kali to sick on Santa's lap. While we were walking over there we talked about sitting on Santa's lap and she would tell me that she wanted a Baby that came with a binky and a bottle...So when we got to Santa she said "Baby" right away and then soon followed binky...Well I stepped back to take a photo and this is what I got...one scared little girl...This is yet another classic moment in the Carter home...Merry Christmas!

Daddy & Kali putting up the outside lights

These are moments as a kid I could not wait for. Putting up the inside and outside Christmas decorations. From the moments the neighbors put up there lights Kali was asking Dad to put up our lights. I was getting my hair done that night so they had some quality daddy daughter time.

Quality Time with Chris

Chris is leaving for the Roseville California mission on December 17th. He is the kind of kid that is the life of the party and everyone will miss him, especially Kali. On Thanksgiving day I couldn't find Kali and was wondering what she was getting into...when I did find her this is what I found...Chris & Kali watching a movie. I guess Chris is getting in his quality time with Kali before he leaves...These are the moments I love to cherish.

THE FAMOUS Y

Cory & Chris have kept this Y on there front yard crisp all summer and fall. For the week of the BYU vs. UTAH game they painted the entire Y blue. This took about 20 cans of blue spray paint and about 5 guys for about 2 or more hours...making it the perfect blue. The white is field paint and they have been doing this all year. They have had numerous friends stop by and more cars drive by than you can image to "see " the Y. Word of mouth has traveled fast and this has become quite the neighbored hood stop. Chris is leaving on a mission in about 3 weeks so Cory will have to recruit some more help next year. Brian and Nate better watch out.

Kali is also becoming quite the cougar fan. She loves going to the basketball games. She looks for Cosmo all the while we are there but when we try and get a picture with him...She gets really scared. She can say go cougars...and RAR for what Cosmo says. It is really fun.

Airforce

Well as most of you know by now are family is into Cougar Football. I have grown to love it more and more each year. I grew up a Cougar fan but not as intense at the Carters living only about 1 & 1/2 miles west of the stadium. It is something they have a great passion about. Brian & his brothers Cory, Chris his Mom & Dad and friend Curt had the opportunity to go the Air-force game. Brian who also loves planes, jets ext. Had the time of his life. He said he has lots of respect for the Cadets at Air-force. I had two cousins who played baseball at the Air-force Academy and 2 years ago we had the opportunity of going and takeing a one on one tour of the Academy...WOW what a place. I would recommend doing this to anyone..He are so photos from the Air-force game I know I am a little behind.

Nursery

Well we have had a few successful weeks of Nursery!! Kali cry's for about 30 seconds when we leave and then she seems to do pretty good. The first time Brian and I left her we both looked at each other, with a blank stare. It was hard leaving her alone alone meaning not with Brian or I) I think it hit Brian even harder than it did me. The leaders say she is doing great and not to let her fool me. Everytime I go and pick her up she has this sad look like...why did you leave me here. She has started singing ei ei o with a moo, moo here ext...She just knows parts...also do as i am doing...she rolls her arms...I know she really loves to learn, do puzzles and sing...So I think she will lover nursery...Here are so pictures from the last couple of weeks....On a side not Brian's aunt came over yesterday to evaluate her for a class she is taking...Things she had her do where...stack blocks (she should be stacking 4 and Kali could stack 6) walk up and down the stairs not holding on to anything (this is for a 24 month old) but she can already do that...Color...put chocolate chips into a cup (she can do with both hands) I just don't want to forget the little things they learn and can do at what age. Oh also she can recognize all the animals as well as what sound they make... (she has been doing this for quite a while) I love watching her learn and realize she can do things...So fun.

Birthday's

As a family we just are getting so many birthday that we have decided to combine some of them...Making or buying only one cake or pie...We end up throwing so much of it away..Especially the ice cream. My family is not much of an ICE Cream family. But having birthday's together when you get a little older is way more fun. Here are some pictures...Kali enjoyed there boxes more than anything..I think that is what I will give her for Christmas....

Her is Kali enjoying the boxes more than anything else.

Kali helping Kelli get to her presents...She was a really big help.

Seth, Marci & Jeff chillin before we watch football and open presents.

Bowling

For Jeff & Kelli's birthday the family went Bowling. I can't believe how expensive bowling is. My dad paid for all 7 of us and the total came to $90.00. I couldn't believe it. But we had so much fun...Thanks Dad!!

Some of the gang waiting to BOWL

My hot 18 year old brother...Happy Birthday Jeff...

Kali was in seventh heaven with all of the balls. And of course Papa had to buy her some french fries...with dip of course...

My 2 Sick Babies!!

Well a couple of weeks ago our family came down with the aches and pains...Everywhere from a stuffy head, earache to a runny nose. Lucky we weathered the storm pretty well. Now we just hope we didn't pass it to any family members. Here is a picture with dad and kali being "sick". As you can see Brian was the one with the Earache...I am glad my 2 babies are feeling well again.

More HalLoWeEn

This is how we started off our day....with a sucker in the bath tub. Brian and I had gone with her to the mall the night before and bought her a sucker....Well we forgot to hide it so in the morning that is the first thing she wanted...and I decided it was Halloween and why not start it off right...And even nicer that she was in the tub....nothing to get sticky....(All you parents should try this)

Kali was the cutest little BEE. I let her wear her costume all month long and she really started to love it. She wore the hat and everything all day and all night. I took her to Brian's work and he walked her around. She can't say trick or treat yet but she sure did get Thank You down. We then headed to my work for a luncheon and trick or treating...Needless to say she made a hall of candy before she even went Trick or Treating. Brian and I took her to a few houses in our Neighborhood and then headed to see all the Grandma's.... After visiting all the Provo grandmas...we went to SlC to vist another grandma. Brian headed to the Colorado State Vs, BYU game so we stayed the weekend in SLC. We had a fun Halloween. Can't wait till next year.

My Little Cleaner!!

It must be true about what they say... KIDS reflect the parents. I don't consider myself OCD by any means, but I do like a clean, orderly home. At times I do get crazy about it but I am definitely getting better. I have learned a lot having Kali. There is always a sippy cup that is not washed or that is full of water or Juice (and it is ok) There is often more that one book laying on the family room floor (and it is ok) when we have Primary meetings at my house and we bring ALL the kids, and all the toys come out of the toy-box (it is again, OK) I have learned toys and books can be quickly put away, sippy cups can be washed with ease....and again it is OK. I just thought these pictures where so cute. Anytime Brian or I is cleaning, wiping up something, doing laundry ext. Kali wants her own rag and she will do it right along with you. Today I found her with her Diaper Wipes cleaning my living room tables....(I will have to admit my first reaction inside was...ahh (now I will have to wipe them down) but I stopped and admired her for a job well done...and quickly got my camera....Thanks for all your help KALI.

HaLLoWeEn

Here are some projects I did last year and the year before. I made this spider pillow out of a place-mat bought from Kolhs...A fun activity for younger children. I made this Ghost, Witch & Pumpkin in my mom's ward...It was really fun and adds some color around the Holidays. I have a really cute Ghost that I put outside that is made out of Velt that you hang over a tomato rack and put outside with white lights...I will post when I get it up...

Sign of FALL

It seems lately I am into signs and sentimental saying and putting up my halloween decorations. It has been really fun. Those of you who know me I have a really hard time putting things up on my walls!! (Making holes in my walls that is) I blame this on my mother.... :) She has very nicely painted walls and also has a hard time making wholes....because it takes so much work to get them like that....But occasionally I will find something I really like...I will put it in that room for a couple of weeks, or months and then I will finely hang it up...And of course then I love it. I just took some random pictures just for fun so I could remember the Halloween Season in the future...

I found this cute saying a couple of months ago at Quilted Bear and fell in love with it...
I just thought it was such a great saying and I had to have it.... I still get butterfly's when I read it...I know pathetic!!

This is another one of m favorites...Now I just need Aunt Tiff to take a cute picture of our Family!!

When I saw this saying I loved it...and remember I have to LOVE something to purchase it. Mom my and Brian helped me put it up in our bathroom above our jetted tub. I think it added a lot to the bathroom.

I think this is a perfect display of fall. I had our name put on this Scarecrow couple a few years ago. I love the flower display that I keep up all year.

Traditional Carters!!
