1 Year Doctor Appoitment
Well it is official Kali is one year old. What a fun year it has been. As I sat back and starting thinking of all of the "things" I have done or thought in a year I compiled this little list:
*Bathed her at least 365 times...(I know I am one of those parents who has bathed Kali every single day since she was born and occasionally twice one those days she just looked dirty)...
* Changed at least 1,825 diaper and approximately 380 poopy ones...(not counting the ones Brian has changed)
* Kissed her at least 18,250 times and that is rounding down!!
* Missed her on at least 5 occasions where we have left her with my parents or Brian's parents, just to spend time with one another....( I love spending quality time with Brian, he is my best friend)
* I cant even count how many times I have said I Love You Kali!!
* Thought multiple times how thankful I am that she has come to our family and to our extended family and how many lives she has blessed.
* Thought to myself, "This is what life is really about"
And of course many more things...But what a fun year we have had....and so much I have learned...I am by far not the perfect mom but I sure enjoy TRYING....
Kali is 22 1/2 pds and 31 inches tall.... (I still can't figure out where she is getting her height from??)

Kali's Birthday Party
Great Grandma Pratt, Great Grandma Lindsay, Karen Carter, Great Grandpa Carter, Great Grandma Carter...
Kali is really lucky to have to many grandparent that live so close and that are still alive. She has Grandma and Grandpa Delange that are still alive that were unable to make it....She is a new generation!
Nate, Brian, Jeff, Kali, Grandpa Lindsay
This is Grandpa Pratt and she enjoyed sitting in his lap and ripping open the gifts, one at a time...Never getting bored I may add.
Kali had an absolute blast opening presents...She loved sitting in her new chair and clapping her hands...I must say she is a good entertainer....
Brian has this really good idea to get Kali a baby stroller she could push around. She say some other kids pushing them and watched them for like 20 minutes...I thought she may be to young...but boy was I wrong...She loves this stroller and puts her baby in it and stroll's all around the house....Good thing she has a good DAD!!
First Birthday Invitation

To all my blogging friends here is Kali's first birthday announcement....Thanks so my wonderful sister in law and really great friend, Tiffany took Kali's pictures and then put these announcements together for me. I loved them all so much I had to post them all. I never sent out birth announcements so I thought I would send she's turning ONE!! I can't believe a whole year has past. What a wonderful year it has been!!
Self Feeding
Well today was the first time that Kali has really wanted to feed herself. She kept wanting the spoon and crazy enough she knew exactly now to do it. I don't think I really like her doing this because of course it creates a mess...but on the flip side I don't want to be feeding her until she is 10 either. She feed herself the entire yogurt and loved every minute of it. It was really cute and fun.
Kali's First Hair Cut
Kali had her first hair cut last week. My friend Emily was kind enough to cut her hair. She was really good and seemed to really like the cap and especially the brush. Emily cut about an inch off the top and about 1/2 inch off of the back. I think it looks a lot better!! She was getting a mol-et in the back.... Her hair seems to be getting lighter & lighter...I may have a toe head on my hands....

Softball Tune Up Tournament
Brian played in a softball Tournament this weekend at Footprinters park...It was lots of fun. A little cold but all in all fun. There team did great. They won the whole tournament and went undefeated...We love it when there is no "IF" game. Brian's mom was kind enough to take Kali for most of the day so that I could go and watch, since the weather hasnt been the greatest...Where is SPRING...I love watching Brian play softballl and since that is how we meet working down at the park it brings back lots of fun memories we have together...I am so thankful for Brian and for all the fun times we have together....

Happy Easter
Well Easter weekend was so much fun for our little family. It all started on Friday Night when we went out to dinner with Nate and Tiffany (my brother and sister in law) we hadn't hung-out with them one on one in a while and it was really fun to sit and visit with them....Then Satruday we headed up to SLC to spend the day with my family...The girls shopped while the boys went to a baseball game and then we all met up later and colored Easter Eggs, which Kali thornily enjoyed (I will post pictures another day) and had dinner and played Rock Band and just had a great time. Then on Sunday after church we went to the Carters for a BBQ (First of the spring I may add) and it was delicious....I think I forgot how great cooking on the grill really is. We all stayed around and played guitar hero and talked....It was a great weekend with Family. Brian and I are so thankful we are able to be by both of our families, we feel truly blessed....I thought these to pictures turned out so cute of Brian and Kali right before church on Easter....) I would have been in the picture, but of course I was running a little late) Hope everyone had a great Easter...And Bring On SPRING....

Dankia & Kali
This is one of my best friend Lindsay's little girl. They are about 4 months a part and we can't wait to take them to the park and play. Lindsay lives in St. George and is so kind to let us stay with her when we go down. I miss her and wished she lived closer to me....

St George
Our family just went to St. George and had so much fun. Brian played in a softball tournament in Mesquite and the weather was divine, can I go back. Kali loves swimming with her daddy and thanks to Aunt Tiff and Uncle Nate, Kali has had plenty of swimming and only being a year. We are so exited for there pool this summer. She loves the water and splashing and even drinking every now and again when dad isnt' looking! We had a great time being together and enjoying the weekend..

About Time
I know it has been so long since I have posted...Gee what have I been up to? Life just got busy I guess but I am back on the wagon. Kali is coming up on a year. She will be 1 on April 20th. She is going all over the place, up and down the stairs is her favorite past time. If you need someone to teach your child to go down the stairs my mom and father in law and husband are now pro's....Thank goodness.. We did have one fall before the proper teaching was in order and I can say that is scared me to death...Don't worry I have been keeping up on all your blogs and I am sure I have been scratched off the list of blogs to check...lol So enjoy and I do a few posts today....

Bag Tag!
I just got tagged from my sister in law Tiffany -So here is what you
need to do. . . .
1. Take a picture of you bag
2. Show a picture of ALL the contents in it....BEFORE CLEANING IT OUT!!
3.:Bag Tag" At least 5 people

This is definitely the smallest purse I have ever had...I love big bags and I do still carry a purse and a diaper bag...I know everyone keeps telling me I need to condense....But I think you need to have your own "goods"

Well as you can see I don't have much in my "small" purse anymore. I do love lipstick, lip-gloss,chap-stick anything to do with lips....I have to carry the ibuprofen for myself and my husband....just in case! My I call "MOM" wallet (thanks to my mom) my wallet just keeps getting bigger and bigger....Keys and a riblet towel, again just in case.
I tag....Sabrina, Kelly, Celeste, Ashley M, Tessa
And yes you have to POST

Happy Valentines!!
Valentines is a time to sit back and think of all the people you love in your life. There are so many people in my life that I love and I am so thankful for. I wish I had enough time to post pictures of everyone I love...But we all know that would take me the rest of my life. So I thought I would post a picture of Kali since she is the newest love in my life. (Gee that is a surprise)

Cute Leishman Family
We had the opportunity to spend the last 4 days baby-sitting Tanner, Mckay & Talmage. We had a great time with the kids. I did realize I am glad they come one at a time. And I also realized that I wish I had a little Mckay to entertain Kali all of the time. The boys were so cute and good with Kali, how and I going to manage without them :( I am sure they are glad there parents are home. We love the Leishman Family and were glad they could have some alone time.

Love of a Mother
This is something my mom told me over & over again growing up..."Until you have your own child you will never understand the "Love of a Motherr" And I will have to say she is right....When and only when you can stay up all night thinking about you daughter, holding her close to you trying not to move so that she won't wake! praying in your heart that everything will be alright. These are the thoughts that have been with me the last couple of nights. Kali had a runny nose...I thought no big deal, all kids get runny noses...she is probably cutting another tooth. Then came the cough and then the weezing and then the tears...For a baby that doesn't cry much that was the determining factor that something was wrong...My first thought was ammonia only because my brother-in-law has had it. So I thought to myself I will watch her for a few hours and if things don't improve, (on the side of caution) I will take her in. Nothing improved late into the afternoon so with new insurance I started making some calls (being that is was saturday) I finally found out where I could take her.... an instacare that is located in River-woods. So I packed Kali up and headed to the doctor. To be re-assured that is wasn't ammonia and that she was running a temp of 100.6 with much congestion and a massive ear ache....Ok I can rest assured...off to fill the prescription! The reason I thought I would tell this story is I don't know how many of you remember Brother Eyring's talk in October conference but he talked on how Christ is in you life everyday and how we should write it down and remember him in all that we do. So I have been trying to do this on a daily basis...not always writing it down but reflecting on the day. I am amazed each and everyday how many time Christ and his loves comes into my head. For all of you who are mothers you understand the Love of a mother. And I am so blessed to have a wonderful Mother who has stood my me and taught me so many things. And I also have the best mother-in-law who I love dearly and appreciate so much.

Ready for the Baseball Park!!
Well it looks like Kali has discovered Ketchup & Mustard...Two great things that belong at the ball park. Those of you who know us well our family spends lots of time at the baseball park both watching and playing ball. Kali can already throw, (if that surprises you) and will race dad for her binky....) She has her own ball and glove and will play catch as long as you will sit there....I thought I would include a few pictues from the first 3 weeks of her life. My brother Jeff and Brian's brother were both in the state tournament at BYU (Thank goodness it was close) So each day we would pack the little girl up and off to the ball park!! Our family has so many great memories of being involved in sports so this just topped it off....

First Tooth/ 9 Month Visit
Kali has finally gotten her first tooth. It is on the bottom left....It is so cute :) ...So I guess she won't be our little gummer for long.
She had her 9 month Dr. Appointment this last week and she is 20lbs and 31 1/2 inches long. So she is in the 100 % for height, 90 % in weight...She is growing really well and is full of life!!

Black or White
Dresses are the best thing about having a girl....and since they grow so fast at the beginning it seems every-time you turn around you get to purchase a cute dress. My mom is really great at finding cute dresses for Kali for great deals. I especially love this one. Sunday's are so fun...but I do think she is ready for nursery already...she loves playing with kids and watching them...Since they never stop moving....Well I just got called to the Secretary in the Primary...WOW!! This is quite the calling with 90 kids in Primary including 3 nursery's...I am exited and a bit overwhelmed at the moment so if anyone has any ideas please let me know.
Yum Yum
Kali is my little veggie eater...anything from carrots to sweet potato's she loves. She is winging herself from the bottle...She would only have a bottle in the morning and at night if I would let her. I guess I can't complain about that I here sometimes that is quite the process. She loves her sippy cup and her new thing is drinking out of a straw...so now I can't trick her with my soda....Dang that was nice while it lasted....She is growing up to fast...

72 Hours!!
I know, I know I really need to do a post, it has been a while. But I just want to say in my defense my computer has been down for 72 hours and it is amazing how un apart of the world you feel. My bills were piling up (since I pay everything on bill pay) and my blog reading was defiantly falling behind :) Don't worry I have caught up on this part......I promise to post something exiting next week...

Catching UP
Ok this season is over, which I can't believe....And I think I am as caught up as I can be on my blog. I am not the best at blogging but I sure enjoy everyone else. Now lets all get together and pray for Spring...Miss you all and love you.
Kali go the 2 cutest things for Christmas. A rocking horse that I don't have a picture of and a Lion that Kali loves. The nose lights up and makes noise...She is able to sit on it now and just kinda move back and forth in place...And when she starts walking it acts as a walker....Wonderful
dressed in red
Grandma Pratt got Kali 2 of the cutest dresses I have seen, with tights and shoes to match! This dress just made her look like a little princess....(Not that I want her to be a princess). But I couldn't help and think how fun little girls are and what a blessing she has been in our life and those that she is around. I with show the other dress when she grows into it...I am sure it won't be long. Thanks Grandma for keeping me in cute dresses....
Daddy & Kali Christmas Morning
I wasn't sure that Kali would have much fun this Christmas....Boy was I wrong. She was so much fun and made all of us have an enjoyable time opening gifts...She wanted all the paper and enjoyed opening her own gifts as well. She didn't care much for what was inside, except Aunt Tiff gave her a mini Winnie the Pooh Bear and she loved and kissed it all day. Dad had to get Kali a few things for Christmas being how much he loves his little girl. He got her a pari of shoes, (if you couldn't guess that already), a v-tec lab top that plays all shorts of fun things...Now when I am on the computer she can play with her own (Don't we wish it worked like that) And I purchased her a toy box for my living room...Since that is where she always is...seemed silly to buy one for her room..right? Christmas was really fun and we are so thankful for friends and family and spending time with them. My mother in law gave me a picture and it says " I have learned that being with those I love....is enough.
Uncle Nate As Santa
Kali in Pink
I just loved this picture of Kali...She got this little sweater from her Aunt Tiffany's mom. I feel like she looks like a little toddler it in. They sure do grow fast. I took Kali into the doctor last week because I thought she may have an earache and indeed I was right. But she weighs 20pds...Crazy going on 9 months. No wonder my back hurts :)
